I just got really geeked put listening to that review read/discussion and had to play some Battletech related thing until I can jump in.

While Wolfmans MechCommander2X mod is awesome, it uses the open source release from microsoft that didnt include the video or multiplayer coding. Its definitely a fun one to use, especially cause its compatible with all of the original MC2 files including videos. Maybe I will benefit from waiting and seeing what updates come now post launch.Īnyway, I needed a place to share this with hopefully some like minded people. That would be Mechcommander 2, and I already use the Omnitech mod. I might have to find away around my self imposed limit on no new games spring. So I think it would be nice to play something apart from it. I also find the whole Clan stuff overly hokey at times. and OmniTech designs, rules for miniatures.

I have only Flash, Dagger, Psycho, Twitch, Longshot, Claymore, Steel, Nuke and Payback. But Ive noticed that Ive got far fewer mechwarriors than I think I should. There is a distinct lack of oomph to the game that I can see in video Battletech has.Īlso Clan mech and Omnimechs kind of feel like easy mode. Listening to Rob Zacny and Austin Walker talk about this game in the review read podcast, it got me super hyped to play this. Campaign data from MechCommander God & MechCommander 2 can be imported into it. So I figured this was the best place to post this. It is called MechCommander OmniTech and works on all modern operating systems.
